Title: Evidence Based Ways to Address Anxiety & Panic Without Using Medication
Speaker: Dr. Natalie Engelbrecht ND

In this lecture Dr. Engelbrecht offers an overview of the differential diagnosis process for anxiety and panic disorder with specific discussion of PTSD, OCD, phobia, and high functioning female autism and discusses the overlap of syndromes that also occurs with other primary psychiatric disorders.  The lecture progresses to involve an in-depth review of the normative aspects of anxiety and how that becomes differentiated in the pathogenesis of anxiety disorder, and what causes anxiety and it’s sequalae.  The presenter also provides an overview of the evidence on non-pill alternatives to effectively treat anxiety, such as reducing inflammation, promoting gratitude, and modulation of emotions.
