In presentation Dr. Aoife Earls discusses grief, how it presents clinically and discuss its clinically similarities, stages of grief, prolonged grief disorder, physical impacts of grief on physiology, the HPA and cortisol. Dr. Earls explain how to physically support and facilitate the grieving process, nutraceuticals and herbs for grief and reducing cortisol, Chinese medicine model of emotions. There is a review sickness behaviour and discuss how grief influences sickness behaviour, clinical assessment tools for grief and sickness behavior and Dr. Earls shows specific tools to initiate immediately to support patients through grief, basics of anger and anxiety in grief, antidotes to sadness.
