Speaker: Dr. Jill Shainhouse ND

After reviewing the statistics on breast cancer and the etiology/risk factors associated with the disease Dr. Shainhouse provides explains how to interpret a pathology report and the hormone therapies that are prescribed during remission.  Dr. Shainhouse shares her experience on how to counsel patients in breast cancer remission and how to effectively manage the side effects from drugs used during remission.   Dr. Shainhouse uses best available evidence to discuss the controversy of soy consumption for these patients, contraindications with hormone therapy and how to make a researched based naturopathic prescription for patients in remission of breast cancer.
